Best Jewish Boys Summer Overnight Camp

Very thoroughly. And with a senior, seasoned, veteran, talented team. I am referring to our wonderful leadership staff and our dedicated board of directors as well. I hope I am not being boastful when I say that between Ronni, Leon, Gary, Lee, and myself we have over 60 years of experience. Were your sons disappointed that there was no camp? Of course. There is no substitute for a Camp Avoda experience.

But I am excited to report that we are planning for 2021! We have an opportunity to provide a social, safe, needed experience for your boys and we are excited about the challenge. We look forward to designing creative, safe solutions and we are thankful for your trust. So far Ronni and I have been on about half a dozen panel and info sessions for camp professionals by camp professionals, who ran their programs this past summer: 2020. We are already armed with insights and ideas from their experience: dining protocols, cleaning requirements, drop off procedures, testing and quarantine requirements, optimizing outdoor time. and providing alternatives as needed.
Will camp look different? Probably. But kids are resilient, and they are already used to the “new norm” and necessary steps to participate in favorite activities like sports. Maybe the boys get to design their own masks – maybe one for Flag Rush and one for services. Maybe every camper gets a blue mask and a white mask.

Camp is a magic place. We look forward to doing whatever is takes to make the summer of 2021 a meaningful, special, and excellent summer – just like all of our other summers. We will make it fun. We will make it memorable. Who knows? We will likely create new traditions. We will laugh and we will write another chapter in the Camp Avoda History books. Children need camp now more than ever. Screen time is at all-time high. Social interactions are quite lower than normal. Mental health and socialization need to remain priorities. And Camp Avoda can help!
