We go on exciting adventures out of camp at least once a week! While we're all about fresh experiences, some iconic trips have become our campers' favorites year after year.

FIELD TRIP DAYS

Every Wednesday is trip day at Camp Avoda. The Red Sox Game, water and amusement parks, high ropes course, mountain hiking, and the beach are some of our trademark trips that our campers love every year and have become a staple of our programming.

Sophomore Overnight:

Berkshires Adventure

Our Sophomore Overnight is a highly anticipated event for our rising 7th graders. The boys travel from one end of the great state of Massachusetts to the other, where they will play mini golf, go white water rafting, and sleep under the stars! We spice it up every year and try new sites and stops along the way. This trip brings the age group closer by building independence, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Senior Division

Canoe Trip

For our senior campers who love the water, this is the ultimate summer highlight. After a season of training with certified canoeing counselors, campers embark on a 3-day canoeing expedition through Maine’s rivers — testing their skills, teamwork, and spirit on exciting rapids.

Bunk 14 Adventure

Maine Getaway

Our oldest campers (Bunk 14) enjoy a personalized, multi-day trip in Maine featuring camping, white-water rafting, and outdoor exploration, all guided by seasoned professionals. This capstone experience is tailored to each group’s interests and celebrates their leadership at camp.

Israel Trip

Camp Avoda proudly partners with Birthright and Mayanot to offer a free 10-day trip to Israel for eligible staff and alumni ages 19–26. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel with Avoda brothers and explore Israel’s rich history, vibrant culture, and unforgettable landscapes together. Trip details are usually released around January 1st, with applications opening in early February.
